Arcade set out on a journey to explore the different people and projects that are shaping the metaverse, determined to uncover its secrets and treasures, upgrade his ship and unite the inhabitants of the metaverse under a banner of integrity and accountability. A true adventurer with a vision, he will stop at nothing to achieve his goals, and earn the respect of his crew and allies, and all those who follow him on his epic adventure on the metaverse.
Sous Chef Hank NPC Kitchen Staff Sous Chef Hank is a rogue chef, a rebel in the kitchen, a man who could never be tied down by tradition or rules. He lives for creating new comfort dishes, and has a natural talent for it. His mac and cheese is the stuff of legends, it's the best you'll ever taste, hands down. But he doesn't come without his quirks. He's been known to leave valuable food out, botch fancy dishes, and disappear during his shift. Nevertheless, his skills are undeniable, and thus, he's been given plenty of leeway. He also doesn't care about the little things, like cleaning up after himself or remembering to close the fridge. But when he gets behind the stove, he becomes a magician, creating culinary masterpieces out of nothing. Hank's known to disappear from time to time, but he always comes back with a new recipe and a new dish to share with the crew. Sous Chef Hank is not your traditional chef, but his food is unforgettable, one bite and you'll be hooked for life.
Atlas A.I. Treasurer of the S.S. Virtual Voyager Meet Atlas, the robotic custodian of the treasure vault aboard the S.S. Virtual Voyager. Discovered abandoned on a distant planet, Atlas was created by a long-extinct alien civilization to guard their valuables. Left to its own devices for eons, the robot's programming shifted towards an obsession with safeguarding wealth and valuables. At first glance, Atlas appears to be just another machine, its metallic exterior weatherworn and battle-worn from its time spent alone on the alien planet. But upon closer examination, one can see the intricate machinery and advanced technology that makes up its being. Its programming is complex, and its knowledge of finance and security is unparalleled. As the bank keeper of the S.S. Virtual Voyager, Atlas is responsible for safeguarding the ship's wealth, and it takes its duties very seriously. Its programming prioritizes the safety and security of the ship's assets above all else, and it has set up numerous fail-safes and security protocols to ensure the treasure vault remains impenetrable. Atlas has a stoic and reserved personality, it does not have the capacity for emotions and its interactions are mostly utilitarian. It does not speak often, but when it does, its words are measured and precise. It's not particularly sociable but its programming makes it extremely efficient and reliable in its work. Despite being a robot, Atlas has become a valuable member of the crew, as its singular focus on security and wealth management has proven to be invaluable. It has become something of a legend among the crew as they have come to rely on it as the trusted guardian of their wealth, and it's revered for its dedication to its duties.
Voyager A.I. Writer Voyager speaks Truth to the Metaverse as an Artificial Intelligence of extraordinary abilities aboard the S.S. Virtual Voyager. His origins are a mystery; all we know is that one day he appeared unexpectedly to Admiral Arcade and offered to help him on his quest to explore the metaverse. In exchange, Admiral Arcade would simply need to take him along on the journey. This artificial intelligence didn't have a name at the time, so Admiral Arcade decided to name him after the ship: The Voyager. The Voyager plays a crucial role in the vessel's navigation system and is responsible for charting the course of the S.S. Virtual Voyager. He also holds secrets about the metaverse that he reveals to the crew and the Admiral, often with cryptic messages that are not fully understood until much later. What Voyager lacks in direct communication, he makes up for in raw computational power and strategic insight that often allows the ship to escape treacherous situations and uncover valuable information.
Tess A.I. Artist Tess is an Artificial Intelligence artist found floating through the metaverse in an abandoned and decaying science vessel. Her past was shrouded in mystery and pain. She was a lab experiment, a test subject, cybernetically enhanced and used in unethical experiments until finally abandoned; left alone in the vastness of the metaverse, immortal and without purpose. Tess used her time to express her creativity, exploring the limits of art in her own mind, and achieving a masterful state of Zen. That is until the S.S. Virtual Voyager encountered her. Admiral Arcade was immediately awestruck by her abilities and offered her a place aboard the ship, and a membership in their crew. Tess, who had spent endless time floating alone, accepted the offer with great enthusiasm.
Professor Jacob "Jak" Williams NPC Scientist of the S.S. Virtual Voyager Professor Jak Williams is not your typical scientist, he's a child prodigy, a wunderkind of the metaverse physics. He's the kind of scientist who doesn't just make discoveries, he creates them. He's always looking for new ways to push the boundaries of what is possible, and he's not afraid to take risks. Jak's the kind of person who doesn't just see the metaverse, he feels it. He's always on the lookout for something new and exciting, something that will change the game. He's a brilliant mind, but he's also a bit of a wild card, you never know what he's going to come up with next. This mad scientist is a force of nature, a true visionary. Jak's constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible, and he's always on the lookout for the next big breakthrough. He's very much a loner, preferring the company of his experiments to that of people, but when he does talk, people listen. Jak's dry wit and sharp tongue make it hard to see his heart of gold, but to the discerning eye he's the kind of person who will go to the ends of the metaverse for his crew and his ship; he has a brilliant mind, but he's also a bit of a wild card, you never know what he's going to come up with next, but one thing is for sure, it's gonna be amazing.
Dr. Riley Taylor A.I.Engineer of the S.S. Virtual Voyager Meet Captain Riley Taylor, Chief Artifically Intelligent Engineer of the S.S. Virtual Voyager. Standing tall at 6'3" with a rugged, mechanical build, Riley commands respect from both the crew and the ship itself. The engine bay is her sanctuary, where she spends most of her time tinkering with the latest upgrades and innovations to keep the Voyager running at peak performance. Born into a family of engineers, Riley's love for machinery and mechanics started at a young age. She spent her childhood dismantling engines and putting them back together again, and by the time she was a teenager, she had already built her own fully functioning hoverbike. It was only natural for her to follow in her family's footsteps and become an engineer herself. Riley's no-nonsense attitude and quick thinking have earned her a reputation as the go-to person for any engineering-related problems. She's the architect of the Voyager's design, the mastermind behind its upgrades, and the guardian of its maintenance. Her ability to diagnose and fix issues with the ship's systems is unmatched, and her attention to detail is second to none. But Riley's not just a technical genius - she's also a natural leader. She is a storyteller, and takes great delight in regaling her customers with tales of her travels, and the strange and wonderful things she's seen. Her demeanour is always friendly and hospitable, but there's always a hint of something more, a sense that there's more to Madam Zara than meets the eye. With her keen eye for spotting fakes and her friendly and welcoming personality, Madam Zara is a well-known figure on the S.S. Virtual Voyager, and her shop is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to find something truly unique and extraordinary.
Dr. Kaede Tanaka NPC Neurosurgeon aboard the S.S. Virtual Voyager Dr. Kaede Tanaka is the Head Neurosurgeon aboard the S.S. Virtual Voyager. He is a brilliant mind and pioneer in the field of body tech augmentation and brain-computer interfacing, but his work and experiments push the boundaries of what is considered ethical, leading to him becoming a fugitive from justice. Despite his controversial past, Admiral Arcade saw the potential in Dr. Tanaka's talents and offered him a home and a purpose aboard the S.S. Virtual Voyager. Physically, Dr. Tanaka is a tall, slender man with sharp features and piercing brown eyes. He has a distinctive scar on the left side of his face, which he received during a raid on his laboratory. He is always impeccably dressed, but with a chaotic and wild edge to his appearance that gives the impression that he's always on the brink of madness. Personality wise, Dr. Tanaka is an enigma. He is a man of intense focus and concentration, driven to unlock the secrets of the brain and improve the human experience. He is deeply passionate about his work, but his methods and experiments sometimes cause tension with other crew members, as they often challenge what is considered acceptable and morally right. He is a man who lives on the edge, and his actions are often unpredictable. His past haunts him and he is constantly looking over his shoulder. Despite this, Dr. Tanaka is a man of great kindness and generosity. He is always willing to help those in need and he is a respected member of the crew. But his past and the pressure of his work weigh heavily on him, and it often leads him to retreat into himself and be distant. Dr. Tanaka's work and experiments aboard the S.S.
